Snow Chapeau is a luxury custom hat atelier specializing in handcrafted Beaver, Rabbit, Nutria, and Vegan fur felt Western-style hats, custom-made to order, one at a time—exclusively for you. Our hats are inspired by the elevated mountain aesthetic you’ll find at flashy mountain town stores, but unlike mass-handled retail hats, every Snow Chapeau crown is custom made to order, never worn, tried on, or handled by anyone else.

Because Snow Chapeau operates without a traditional storefront or production line, we’re able to offer true custom craftsmanship at significantly lower prices—often nearly half the cost of comparable luxury hats from Stetson, True Grit, or Kemo Sabe — without compromising quality, materials, or design.

Hands-On Hat-Making Workshops

Looking for something truly unforgettable? We host hands-on hat-making workshops where guests can design and create their own one-of-a-kind masterpiece—perfect for private gatherings, corporate events, retreats, and celebrations.

I bring all the materials to your home, rental, hotel or event. While I guide and explain, you create your own hat. It is a physical experience - hat making is not easy! The first day we size, and block the hat (about 4-5 hours). The second day we shape the crown, cut and shape the brim and decorate so it’s uniquely yours.

A fully mobile Luxury Hat Bar experience brought directly to your event. I arrive with a curated collection of high-quality hats in a range of styles, sizes, and colors. Each guest selects their perfect base and then personalizes it with trims, bands, embellishments, and finishing touches of their choice. The result is a one-of-a-kind hat—crafted on the spot and taken home as a lasting, wearable memento of your gathering.

Price starts at $500 for 1.5 hours and is an additional $500 per hour (this does not include set up and break down). Hats and materials are extra.

A little about the ‘brand’

I retired from corporate life in 2025 and started pursuing my artistic side - I can’t be a ski bum everyday!

Hat making is my calling and my passion. I create wearable art handcrafted in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Every hat is a Custom Crown for a Mountain Soul - built to travel with you and carry the mountains wherever life leads. I only use quality materials globally sourced. All hats are made in Colorado where I draw inspiration from the Mountains.

I personally hand make every single hat in my RV workshop. They are hand shaped, and hand sewn. All my hats & hatbands are my originals, the feathers are a gift from our feathered friends and the pins and brands come from trusted partners.

No production line, no flashy ski town store front means lower prices for you.
